Dedication of William Moore Revolutionary Cabin

Join this America 250 living history event  in commemoration of Captain William Moore. Sponsored by the Carson House, McDowell Historical Society, Greenlee Chapter DAR, SAR, and Overmountain Victory Trail Association. Events include dedication of the cabin, a biographical history of Captain Moore and his unique relationship with the Carson family. Also included will be a Fife and Drum presentation, black powder salute, and historical demonstrations by the OVTA.  Refreshments to be provided by the Greenlee Chapter DAR.

Time:

2:00 pm – Cabin Dedication

2:30-5:00 pm – Cabin tour, Carson House tours and living history demonstrations.
